Chlorine

Chloramine
A longer-lasting disinfectant some water companies use instead of chlorine. It can leave a taste of its own.
Microplastics
Tiny plastic particles, caught by a carbon block with pores just 0.5 microns wide.

Will it fit under your sink?
If you have a standard cupboard under your kitchen sink, almost certainly. Here's what to check.
Installation
Fit it yourself, no plumber needed
No plumber and no drilling. Everything you need is in the box, along with a step-by-step guide.
- 01Turn off the waterShut off the cold water supply to your kitchen tap.
- 02Attach the inlet hoseConnect the inlet hose to your cold water supply.
- 03Connect the filterBoth hoses screw onto the top of the filter, and the inlet is clearly marked.
- 04Turn the water back onRun the tap to flush the new cartridge through, then pour yourself a glass.
Changing the cartridge is even quicker. Twist the old one out and the new one in. It takes about 30 seconds and needs no tools.
Going for the Professional kit? The filter fits the same way. We recommend a plumber for the 3-way tap, though it's a straightforward swap if you're handy.

How often does the cartridge need changing?+
About once a year. Swapping it takes around 30 seconds and needs no tools. You twist the old cartridge out and the new one in. Replacement cartridges are here.
Will it slow down my tap?+
Filtr8 is designed with a high flow rate, so you won't be left waiting at the sink.
Has Filtr8 been tested?+
Yes. Filtr8 publishes its test results in full, and the filter is made with NSF/ANSI certified materials. Read the results.
How much is delivery, and how long does it take?+
UK delivery is free. We send every order by Royal Mail Tracked 24, and it usually arrives within 2 to 3 working days.
Do you deliver outside the UK?+
Not at the moment. We currently deliver to UK addresses only.
What if I change my mind?+
Send it back, no questions asked. Fit it, try it, and if you don't like it, return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Return postage is at your cost unless something arrived damaged.
